SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Carwashes are more eco-friendly than one may have realized, especially the newer carwashes, according to the article.  

“We have a reclaimed system here at the wash, and we’re in the 85 to 90 percent level as far as the water we can reuse,” according to Lane Leach, the owner of Orbit Wash.

Many customers are enticed to frequent the carwash because of the water savings.

Carwash customer Lili Williams said, “I think [carwashes] are a lot more efficient, not just in terms of time, but also in terms of the water usage.”
