BRIGHTON, MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA ― The Clearwater Car Wash here charges at least $5 more if a car is "extra dirty," the Bayside Leader reported.

The Feb. 11 story quoted customer Robert Elliott who said, "They told me it's dirty, they are going to charge me $10 more…I was amazed their core business is cleaning cars, it's what they do."

Carwash Manager Tim (a last name was not given) said it all comes down to labor costs. "If it's extra dirty, there is more labor for us," he said in the story, "which equals more cost."
