BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The editors of Professional Carwashing & Detailing have selected a video from the Web to help raise awareness and spread education.
This week’s video is from the Stormwater Pollution Educational Awareness Campaign, www.thedirtytruth.com.au, developed by the Australian Car Wash Association (ACWA) with professional input from Stormwater Australia and funding support from the Victorian Department of Environment, Land Water & Planning.
The video discusses the effects of stormwater pollution to waterways from home carwashing and the environmentally friendly alternatives, such as commercial carwashes.
“Home carwashing is estimated to produce enough contaminated water to fill over five million swimming pools,” notes the video.
