OKLAHOMA CITY — QuikTrip Corporation will receive incentives from the Oklahoma Quality Jobs Program for creating up to 137 jobs for a maximum benefit of $4.27 over the next five years.

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Department of Commerce announced QuikTrip Corporation has been accepted into the Oklahoma Quality Jobs Program, according to CSPnet.com.

Over the next five years, stated the article, QuikTrip pledged to create up to 137 jobs for a maximum benefit of $4.27 million.

Mike Thornbrugh, company spokesperson, reported to The Tulsa World that new jobs will be located in Tulsa at the convenience store chain’s headquarters, continued the article.

The program permits qualifying establishments that are creating new quality jobs to receive an incentive to expand or locate in Oklahoma, reported the article, and it “provides quarterly cash payments of up to five percent of new taxable payroll directly to a qualifying company for up to 10 years.”

Oklahoma has issued over 743 contracts to startup, expanding and locating businesses since its establishment in 1993, added the article.

The department has also paid more than $968 million in performance-based wage rebates through the program to date, informed the article.

QuikTrip currently operates over 700 c-stores in 11 states, noted the article, and is known for its focus on recruitment as well as for treating its employees well.

The company has been featured on Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list for 13 years in a row, added the article.
