Full-serve wash launches in Akron

AKRON, Ohio — In addition to carwashes, Splash Car Wash offers waxes and interior cleaning stations for cars.

AKRON, Ohio — Earlier this fall, a new full-service carwash opened on South Cleveland-Massillon Road, according to the West Side Leader.

Owned by John Mallo Sr., Splash Car Wash offers waxes and interior cleaning stations for cars, in addition to wash packages, stated the article.

Mallo said the wash was designed to be welcoming and bright and offer the “best and latest in vehicle care,” reported the article, and the actual facility has a 24-foot ceiling with a roof made of composite material to permit light to shine through as well as one wall made of glass.

“We really made an effort to pick out equipment that would do a great job of cleaning,” explained Mallo in the article.

According to Mallo, informed the article, the carwash only uses microfiber strips to clean the cars through the wash, and brushes are only used to clean wheels.

Splash Car Wash has side and overhead spray systems, continued the article, as well as another system to clean undercarriages and one to clean back bumpers.

At the end of the wash cycle are six blowers, informed the article, and Mallo asserted that the carwash is the only one within the Greater Akron area to use a buffer roller made of microfiber strips which “provide optimum drying.”

To ensure a “tidy environment,” Mallo reported that Splash Car Wash washes all fiber strips used in the cleaning process every night, stated the article, and floors and walls are wiped down throughout the day.

“We pay attention to keeping the carwash facility clean for our customers,” said Mallo in the article.

The carwash is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., noted the article.
