Autobell charity program raises more than $634K in 2015

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Autobell® Charity Car Wash Program was established in 1998 and has helped nonprofits raise more than $7.6 million to date.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Autobell® Car Wash Inc. announced the Autobell® Charity Car Wash Program helped raise $634,398 in 2015 for charities, schools and other nonprofits in North and South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia, according to a press release.

The carwash chain’s program was established in 1998, stated the release, helping nonprofits raise more than $7.6 million to date.

Through the program, continued the release, Autobell provides 501(c)(3) groups with full-service carwash tickets, which are custom-printed with the organization’s name.

These tickets are then sold by the nonprofit at full price and honored at all of the chain’s locations, reported the release, and the organization will keep 50 percent of the proceeds from all ticket sales.

In 2015, informed the release, notable fundraisers included: an assisted living and nursing facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia, which raised $2,000; a lacrosse club in Alpharetta, Georgia, which brought in $5,064; and a Boy Scout troop in Charlotte which received $6,432 in proceeds.

“Nonprofits continue to find this program a simple and effective way to reach their fundraising goals,” said Chuck Howard, Autobell president and CEO, in the release. “It eliminates the need for organizers to plan and execute a parking lot carwash or other large-scale fundraiser, worry about rain dates or incur any upfront cost.”

Those interested in the Autobell Charity Car Wash Program can visit www.autobell.com/about-autobell/fundraising/ or call 1-800-582-8096, noted the release.

“Since all Autobell locations treat 100 percent of the wash water used and recycle up to 100 percent, organizations can feel satisfied they’re encouraging supporters to utilize the most environmentally friendly method for washing their cars,” stated Howard in the release.
