SOUTH MARION COUNTY, Fla. — According to www.ocala.com, Michael Edward Grace, 37, was arrested on Jan. 15th on account of drug possession after being found unresponsive in a running car parked in a self-serve carwash at 5:30 a.m.
The deputy who found him said in his report that Grace seemed “surprised and confused” when the deputy shined his flashlight into the vehicle, the article continued.
Grace said he couldn’t open the door, and the deputy asked twice if he wanted the window broken, the article noted; Grace indicated that he did, so members of the Marion County Fire Rescue broke his window.
According to the deputy, while patting Grace down, he saw a syringe “in plain view” in the man’s right front pocket, which also contained a plastic bag carrying 14.5 grams of methamphetamine, the article stated.
Authorities found a scale in Grace’s left pants pocket, the article noted.
Grace said that he was “not a diabetic” and “was not sure why the syringe was in his pocket” and that he was “unaware” of the meth and scale in his pockets, according to the report.
