MOBILE, Ala. — According to a news report on www.wkrg.com, a man was caught on video surveillance stealing a woman’s purse as she patronized a carwash.
The man was seen taking the woman’s bag from her vehicle’s trunk, added the report.
The woman said she put her purse in the trunk but “thinks it didn’t latch,” noted the report.
According to the woman’s account of the incident, continued the news report, the man, dressed in a red polo shirt, started to dry her car with a towel at Rich’s Car Wash on Springhill; when the woman confronted the man about being an employee at the wash, he first ignored her and, when asked a second time, he said no.
Video footage was provided to News 5, stated the report, and it shows the man drying the woman’s car, opening the trunk and putting a bag into the trunk of a car parked next to the victim’s car.
