COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Samuel, Son & Co., Limited will open a new metal service center to support the growing automotive market in the South, according to a press release.
The new facility will house a “world-class hybrid automotive blanking line with a width capability up to 2050mm,” stated the release.
“This additional capacity shows our commitment to the automotive market,” shared Samuel President & CEO Bill Chisholm. “Our customers have grown to expect a lot from Samuel. This investment allows us to step up and deliver the service and quality our customers require for their current and future business needs.”

The line will be able to produce custom shapes and inspect, clean, level and lubricate sheet, said the release.
The 105,000-square-foot facility will be spread out over 30 acres, and will be able to handle high strength steels and Class A exposed product in steel and aluminum, explained the release.
The project’s first phase is expected to be completed by July 1, 2015, noted the release.
