AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas at Austin brought a suit against Cedar Park’s Tower Car Wash Inc. in 2011, when the wash built a smaller version of the tower that the school is known for, according to the Austin Business Journal.
After a battle in court with UT and a contractor, Cedar Park’s Tower Car Wash Inc. has filed chapter 11 bankruptcy.

In the lawsuit, UT stated that it attempted to resolve the situation “amicably” many times, but the wash was unwilling to stop using the replica tower.
According to court documents, the wash company reported $4.4 million in assets and $3.8 million in debts.
