In 1989, a group of regional industry innovators made history when it gathered in Newport, Rhode Island, for its inaugural event: the Northeast Regional Carwash Convention (NRCC). The first NRCC drew approximately 300 attendees and featured 50 booths. The floor space measured about 6,000 square feet and, according to this year’s co-chairman, Mike Benmosche, filled but a few rooms of a hotel.
According to, www.nrccshow.com, “The show was devised for the benefit of Northeast carwash operators who could not attend the national trade show and to allow for managers and/or staff to attend as well. The first show provided a forum for education, equipment exhibits and an exchange of ideas and camaraderie among operators and exhibitors.”
From Sept. 23-25 at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey, NRCC will once again commence. Marking its 30th anniversary, this show continues to grow and impress with an expansive educational program, unique networking opportunities and a convention floor that now contains more than 320 booths spread out over nearly 85,000 square feet of exhibit space.
Professional Carwashing & Detailing (PC&D) is excited to offer this Exhibit Product Guide made exclusively for NRCC 2019. It contains booth information, a Schedule of Events and more. If you’re currently reading this guide at the NRCC, please be sure to stop by booth 119 to sign up for a free subscription or to pick up our most recent issue.
This Exhibit Product Guide also features a Q&A interview with Benmosche. He was one of the first people I met once I became editorial director of PC&D in 2012. As stated in the interview, Benmosche is retiring this year, making this show “especially important” to him. Since I met him, Benmosche has been eager to be interviewed and write content for PC&D and Carwash.com.
He not only has a strong commitment and passion for our industry, but his dedication has also helped grow NRCC over the years. Thanks, Mike, for your support of this publication and for helping to make NRCC one of the must-attend annual carwash events of the year.
