PARKLAND, Fla. — The co-founders of Rising Tide Car Wash have been chosen by Autism Speaks to participate in the Extraordinary Ventures conference, according to a press release.
The carwash works to find employment for people with autism, and the goal of the conference is to bring younger adults with autism in contact with small businesses looking to hire them, according to the release.
“Being selected to speak at these events are incredible opportunities to make a difference, inspiring communities to redefine their perception of the capabilities that people with autism have,” said John D’Eri, a co-founder of Rising Tide.
Rising Tide has more than 30 workers with autism. The goal of the program is to “provide people with autism with an opportunity to build a career and achieve an independent lifestyle.”
