TUCSON, Ariz. — Mister Carwash has hired 50 workers who have disabilities at its seven locations in the area.
Mister Carwash CEO, John Lai, said the decision to bring in the workers has been rewarding. “They bring to the table this work ethic and attitude that really lifts the entire spirit of the crew.” The company has been hiring disabled employees for around a year, according to the article.
The company also has a program in place to hire refugees.
One of the refugee workers said through a translator that to have a job at the carwash was “ like a dream.” Mister Carwash works with more than 30 local agencies to place potential workers with jobs.
