KELLER, TX ― If approved by the city council, a one-of-a-kind carwash, which would be made of glass, will go up here, The Keller Citizen reported.
The Feb. 4 story said the Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to approve the Fender's Car Wash plan, which would include a 5,185-square-foot automatic wash and self-service vacuums.
Applicant Billy Ricketts said in the story, “At night time you see the bones of the building, you see the architecture inside and out."
Ricketts said he's been researching carwash buildings for about three years. “We wanted something that you drive through and feel comfortable in, you don’t feel enclosed," he said in the story. "We are really trying to do something different and bring something different to the table.”
Profile in success: The perfect game
The carwash would have a classic car theme and would host car show events.
Commissioner Arelyn Cox said in the story, “Well, this building is very unusual, but I think it’s going to be neat.”
