KITSAP, WA — Great Car Care Center’s 11th annual campaign for a local food bank will run through Dec. 15, the Kitsap Sun reported.
The Nov. 12 story stated that, during the Round Up Campaign for the Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH food bank, carwash customers will be encouraged to “round up” their purchases to the next dollar for donation to the charity.

Owners Jim and Jill Hanson will boost the campaign by matching the customer donations. In prior years, the campaigns have raised up to $750 in cash and non-perishable food items.
The food bank uses the cash donations to purchase perishable food items such as meat, poultry and fresh produce to supplement donated non-perishables during holiday food drives.
