LAWRENCEBURG, IN — K9 officer Jacob Jump and his dog Newby were performing routine free-air sniffs in the parking lot of Classic Car Wash and Quik Stop Lube and Oil on Route 50 on Sept. 4 when Newby had a hit on a parked vehicle, Eagle Country 99.3 FM reported.
The Oct. 1 story stated that Newby’s hit on the vehicle, which belonged to suspected drug offender James Settle, turned up a drug kit containing 2 grams of heroin and other drug related items.

Settle, 22, was arrested on charges of Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance (Class D felony), Possession of an Injection Device (Class D felony), Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Class D felony) and Possession of Paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor).
