CHESTERFIELD, VA ― At-home carwashing has been limited here to one day per week and hand-held hoses with automatic shut-off nozzles have to be used, according to a Village News report.
The Aug. 29 story said the restrictions are due to low rainfall and low water levels in Lake Chesdin.
The watering of paved areas has been banned altogether.
First-time violators will get a $100 fine and a second offense will yield a $200 fine. A fifth-time offense will get a $1,600 fine.
