CHICAGO — Small Business Expo will welcome more than 5,000 attendees when it returns for its second year on April 9, according to a press release.
The event travels around the U.S. and stops in 10 of the country’s major cities, noted the release.
Bill Rancic, first winner of the The Apprentice, media personality and real estate developer, will headline the event, stated the release. He will speak about innovation and entrepreneurship in corporate America, the expo’s theme.

"We've seen the small business community really grow and change since we were first here in 2014," said Small Business Expo founder Zachary Lezberg, in the release. "The city has put a lot of resources into building local independent establishments, and nearly 50 percent of Chicago workers are employed by a small business. Even more interesting is that we're seeing a surge in businesses less than a year old, so it's really important for us to bring new technologies, ideas and education to an epicenter like this."
The event is free for attendees, reported the release. Upgrades can be purchased for greater access to the show.
Visitors can attend workshops and educational seminars covering topics like online and social media marketing, employee benefits, small business financing, sales and revenue strategies, and more, shared the release.
