DALLAS ― For four years, Chuck's Car Wash served as drug dealing thoroughfare, but now the drug dealers and buyers are gone, according to The Dallas Morning News.

The June 27 story said the carwash has been on The Dallas Morning News' Drops in the Bucket list each month because of the "persistent and undisguised open-air drug market that operated there."

Columnist Tod Robberson wrote a column in March, addressing the police department, code enforcement, the City Attorney’s office and the carwash’s owner, Chuck Kang, to let them know that something had to be done. The City Attorney’s office stated that "until a citizen came forward to complain, the city was limited in what it could do to enforce the law on private property."

Well, a citizen did come forward and complain. And then, a few days later, the drug activity vanquished.

Since then, Kang has been trying to sell the carwash, claiming it has been a big money-loser "and an albatross," the story said. To help deter buyers who might have read about the criminal activity, Kang has put up no-loitering signs, he installed security cameras and warned visitors that police have access to the property.
