CSI announces the hiring of new Lustra key account manager

DE PERE, Wis. — Cleaning Systems, Inc. (CSI) announced the hiring of Sean McBride to the position of Lustra key account manager, according to a press release.

McBride is a veteran in the carwash industry, having spent the past 12 years with Belanger Inc. working with accounts across the U.S. and Canada, the release continued.

He held product manager positions in both the tunnel and in-bay segments of the industry and managed national/key accounts throughout North America, the release noted.

McBride was quoted as saying, “In addition to a great team culture, CSI has always stood out to me as a company leading the way in technology and quality products when it comes to carwash chemistry. I am very excited to be joining the team and representing the brand.”

Dave Krause, President and CEO of CSI said, “We are excited to add Sean to an already strong team and look forward to having our customers receive added value through the experience and insights he brings. He adds an additional dimension to our group with his extensive equipment and operational background.”

Mike’s Carwash donates $7,339 to the Dream Factory of Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The newest Mike’s Carwash on South Hurstbourne Pkwy. hosted a Grand Opening Free Ultimate Wash Week resulting in a donation of $7,339 to the Dream Factory of Louisville, which will be used to grant dreams to two young boys in the Louisville community, according to a press release.

“A huge thank you to everyone who supported and helped us to celebrate our new location on South Hurstbourne Pkwy. during our Grand Opening Week,” said Mike Dahm, president of Mike’s Carwash. “Giving back to the communities we serve is a huge part of what we do at Mike’s, and we are thrilled to be donating $7,339 to the Dream Factory of Louisville. Thank you to our amazing team members and all the local businesses, radio stations and mascots that contributed to the fun and success of our Free Wash Week.”

Time to Shine opens with free washes

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. — According to www.berkeleyind.com, Time to Shine carwash opened on Nov. 16th in Goose Creek, South Carolina, outside of Charleston, and had given out over 3,000 free washes a week later with the hopes of making it to at least 10,000 within the next few days at the time of reporting.

“We’ve never done this before,” said site manager Jereme Tarr of the company that has locations in Tennessee. “What we wanted to do was come in and allow as many people as possible to try us out and show them that we want to earn their business.”

The carwash features a 150-foot tunnel not only packed with modern equipment but also illuminated by neon lights, the article noted.

Furthermore, the carwash offers free vacuums, towels, window cleaners and mat cleaners, the article stated.

Tarr indicated that Time to Shine’s unique factor is “state-of-the-art” equipment that includes three top brushes, the article added.

“I know for a fact no one in the Charleston area has a 150-foot tunnel and has that much equipment in there,” Tarr said.

According to Tarr, the company came to Goose Creek because many residents were going to neighboring areas for a carwash; therefore, the article noted, Time to Shine felt that Goose Creek was an “under-served market for carwashing.”

He added that the response from the community has been “overwhelmingly positive,” saying, “People are loving it.”
