In this week’s Market Focus, we cover the openings of new Crew Carwash, Fast Freddy’s and Finishing Touch Auto Detailing locations.
Crew Carwash opens 31st location
MUNCIE, Ind. — According to www.thestarpress.com, Crew Carwash opened a new location at 601 West McGalliard Rd. in Muncie, Indiana.
“We are excited to become a part of the Muncie community,” Sally Grant, executive vice president of the company, said. “We are proud to invest in the growth and development of the Muncie area. Being located on McGalliard, along with other new retailers, we’re eager to offer the residents of Delaware County a world-class carwash experience.”
This new location, the article noted, is the first in Muncie and Crew Carwash’s 31st overall location.
The $5 million facility features self-serve, dual-hose vacuums; LEDs both inside and outside; all-electric motors; and a water reclamation system, the article added.
Furthermore, members of the company’s Unlimited Club — prices for which range from $29 to $54 per month — can use an exclusive automated lane, the article stated.
Crew is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
New Fast Freddy’s to open in April
FRANKFORT, Ky. — According to www.state-journal.com, Fast Freddy’s carwash will open a new location on Versailles Rd. in April.
Owners Geoff and Robbie Rather opened a location on the west side of town last July, the article continued, and business at that location has been helped this year by messy winter weather.
“In the carwash business, especially northern states, they like wintertime better,” said Geoff Rather. “People want to get salt off their cars.”
During one bout of winter weather, the west side location washed almost 700 cars in one day, Rather said, which helped the business approach its eventual goal of averaging 300 cars washed per day, the article noted.
The Versailles Rd. location, which has a higher traffic count and is in close proximity to several car dealerships, is expected to average an even higher daily wash count, according to Rather.
As such, the number of free vacuums at the new location will be doubled, the article noted.
In addition to the two locations in Frankfort, there is a Fast Freddy’s location in Shelbyville, Kentucky; these locations are the Rather brothers’ first foray into the industry, the article concluded.
Finishing Touch Auto Detailing opens new shop
SALEM, Ore. — According to www.statesmanjournal.com, Finishing Touch Auto Detailing opened a new shop at 3130 Portland Rd. NE.
This is the second location for the detailing company, which was originally established in Stayton, the article continued.
The new, large shop is optimal for high-end, exterior services, the article noted.
“Our new location is more convenient for our clients in Salem, has indoor wash bays and is climate-controlled, so we can provide top-notch, quality work year-round,” owner Ryan Hendricks said. “Salem has been very welcoming, and clients are happy to have a high-end detail shop in Salem.”
