NEW YORK — According to an article on www.nypost.com, seven people were injured in a crash caused by a carwash employee who lost control of a newly cleaned vehicle and rammed it into a school bus in the Bronx.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 6th, about 20 minutes after the school day had begun, the article continued.
The vehicle had just gone through the Riverdale Car Wash and Detail Center, the article noted, when the employee — an unlicensed driver — lost control of the vehicle, crashed into the bus and then slammed into a pole before stopping.
A woman who had just dropped off her child at school also crashed her vehicle at the accident location, the article noted.
Emergency services took seven patients to local hospitals, the article added.
The bus driver was the only person on board the bus at the time, the article added, and no children were injured.
Both the bus driver and carwash employee were hospitalized for neck and back pain, and the third driver at the scene refused medical service, the article stated.
The carwash employee received summons for driving without a license, the article concluded.
