LONGMONT, Colo. — According to denver.cbs.local.com, while they were at a carwash, a couple’s blue truck was stolen.
The man who owns the truck tried to stop the thief, but the suspect ran him over instead, the article continued.
A Broomfield police officer saw the truck about half an hour later on Interstate 25 and tried to stop it, but the truck driver fled, the article noted.
The Colorado State Patrol and Adams County Sheriff’s deputies joined forces to perform a “PIT” maneuver, whereby officers were able to arrest the suspect, the article added.
The suspect was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, the article stated.
The truck owner suffered serious injuries but is expected to recover, the article concluded.
