Small Business Saturday® is a day in which people are encouraged to visit small businesses, as opposed to the big box stores which gain a lot of attention and sales on Black Friday.
This year, Small Business Saturday®, which was thought up by American Express, falls on Nov. 30, the Saturday after Black Friday.
If you are a small business owner, there are ways to take advantage of this day. For instance, you can use the Twitter hashtag #SmallBusinessSaturday, or you can promote that you're a small business on your signage.
