Carwash Connection: Types of carwash doors

AKRON, Ohio — What are the differences between polycarbonate and vinyl doors?

AKRON, Ohio — Now that we’ve covered the different reasons to install carwash doors, the next question is: Which type suits your carwash best?

In this week’s video, Editorial Director Rich DiPaolo discusses the different features of the two most popular types of carwash doors: polycarbonate and vinyl.

Because of the specific needs and issues encountered at carwashes, ordinary garage doors will not do.

DiPaolo explains, “While metal and fiberglass doors are in use at some carwashes, experts that we recently spoke with do not recommend using them as a way to protect your investment against the elements produced by a carwash, including high moisture and chemicals.”

To find out what the differences are, be sure to watch the video.
