STEVENS POINT, Wis. — WaterWorks Car Wash and Detail has to wait another month before it can expand its operation, according to stevenspointjournal.com.
The carwash’s owner, Sheldon Ferkey, requested a conditional use permit from the City Plan Commission to extend its business and add vacuuming, parking and driving lanes to the property adjacent to the current wash, stated the release.
Until Ferkey could update several components of the proposed plan, such as identifying snow storage and the vegetation that will be in the area and designating one of the driveways as an “exit only,” reported the release, city staff recommended that the commission hold off on granting approval.
"There were quite a few things that still needed to be added that could significantly change the way the site is laid out," said Community Development Director Michael Ostrowski in the release.
The commission voted unanimously to address the issue in its July meeting when Ferkey proposes the updated plan for review, continued the release.
Ferkey said he is planning an additional expansion in the next few years, noted the release.
