NOTTINGHAM, England — Three carwashes are among several business recently caught and fined for employing illegal workers, according to the Nottingham Post.
The UK Border Agency had warned businesses they would be caught if found to be engaging in the practice, said the article. The agency also said there are no excuses for employing an illegal worker.

The A1 Hand Car Wash was fined £5,000; Brilliant Car Wash was fined £10,000; and Swinger Hand Car Wash was fined £7,500, noted the article.
The A1 Hand Car Wash has changed its name since the incident, stated the article.
The maximum penalty is £10,000 for each illegal worker, or up to two years in prison, reported the article.
