BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — In the latest Guest Post, avid blogger Christine Rudolph writes about what car care business owners and operators should consider when servicing different types of vehicles, such as trucks and trailers.
“Taking care of a truck or trailer is a fairly straightforward, simple job,” explains Rudolph. “With the right products, some routine maintenance and repairs, and good old-fashioned elbow grease, truck/trailer owners can keep their investments in tip-top shape for years to come.”
Customers should clean their trucks/trailers and remove any trash and debris on a daily basis, states Rudolph; this will help reduce time when they come in for a service and will also keep the vehicle in top shape.
“At the bare minimum, encourage customers to do a thorough check of the cabin area, inside of the vehicle and vehicle bed on a weekly basis,” continues Rudolph.
Rudolph also discusses other components to keep in mind when servicing any type of vehicle, such as paint protection, damage repair and rust prevention and treatment.
“Although vehicle owners can perform small tasks on their own … lack of time, overwhelming family life, important business obligations and other emergencies may mean it is simply too difficult to make the time needed to properly maintain their vehicles,” says Rudolph. “In these cases, make sure they are fully aware of the services your car care business can provide.”
