Update: Belmont Car Wash & Detailing receives family business award

BELMONT, Mass. — Created nine years ago, the award promotes and highlights the achievements of Massachusetts-based, family-owned businesses.

BELMONT, Mass. — Belmont Car Wash & Detailing’s Adam Tocci and Paul Jr. Tocci announced that they are honored to win the 2015 Massachusetts Family Business of the Year Award in the “small firm” category, according to a press release.

The winners were recognized during the annual awards gala at Northeastern University on June 11, stated the release.

Created nine years ago, reported the release, the award promotes and highlights the achievements of Massachusetts-based, family-owned businesses and entrepreneurs.

The awards program is hosted each year by the Northeastern University Center for Family Business and recognizes three family businesses, which are categorized by size, and honors them for “their continued success in operations, community involvement and innovation,” continued the release.

Belmont Car Wash & Detailing, one of 36 finalists, was selected as the winner of the small firm category by an independent panel of judges — each with a background in family-owned businesses, noted the release.

“For three generations our family has worked hard to make our business something my father would be proud to see today,” said Adam Tocci. “This award humbles all of us, really. To receive recognition for something so close to our hearts, it is truly an honor.”
