SCUNTHORPE, England — North Lincolnshire Council is currently considering an application for a new hand wash and valeting business in the car park of a Tesco store, according to the Scunthorpe Telegraph.
The proposal was submitted for the Gallagher Retail Park, which is located in the outskirts of Scunthorpe, stated the article.
Waves, the company proposing the wash, believes the introduction of the carwash will create new and sustainable economic growth for the area, reported the article.
“It will have a positive impact on local employment, creating an estimated four full-time and four part-time jobs,” said Waves in the article.
The company reported that it has identified a business opportunity and received consent from the owners of the car park, continued the article, and is now in the process of applying for planning permission “to provide an efficient and compliant carwash operation.”
If approved, the hand wash and valeting business will take over nine parking spaces in the lot, noted the article, as well as install an office and construct a canopy.
